January 2024 update from the committee

The Muslim, Arab, and Palestinian Communities Committee has started to engage Stanford communities through a series of listening sessions.

The Muslim, Arab, and Palestinian Communities Committee has started to engage Stanford communities through a series of listening sessions. Our listening structure includes holding small group and one-on-one conversations, attending town halls and campus events, and engaging in other opportunities to hear from the community as they emerge. Committee members are working to engage as many people as possible, starting with outreach through existing networks and asking for additional recommendations of people to talk to. Meetings can be in-person or online.

As we conduct listening sessions, the Committee will provide regular updates to the President and Provost, the first of which will be at the end of January 2024. This will be followed by continued and additional conversations with Stanford communities and leadership that will continue to inform the committee’s short and long-term recommendations.

Please get in touch with us if you have any questions or want to participate in a listening session at mapcommittee@stanford.edu. You can also contact any of the Committee members directly. Please share this information widely.
