January 31, 2024 update

The Muslim, Arab, and Palestinian Communities Committee has prepared interim observations and analysis for discussion with senior leadership this week. "We are grateful to our students and colleagues who have shared their time and their experiences with us, and we look forward to continued conversations in the next several months," said co-chair Abiya Ahmed, Director of The Markaz Resource Center and Associate Dean of Students.

The preliminary recommendations are part of an ongoing process with stakeholders and communities to create a final report at the end of the academic year, and they are based on more than 30 listening sessions with over 65 students, staff, faculty, and alumni conducted in December 2023 and January 2024. Committee members are continuing to do more listening sessions with all stakeholders.
